Fusinus (Simplicifusus) guidonis Delsaerdt, 1995Gloria Maris 33(6):114-119. A new species from Somalian waters.
Dredged off Mogadishu, Somalia (type locality). A rather small, fusiform species (to 50 mm), with a lightweight shell, translucent and pure white. Whorls strongly convex, axial ribs widely spaced, crossed by major and minor spirals cords. Aperture ovate, internally lirate, columella smooth. Siphonal canal straight. The holotype (49.9 mm) has been deposited in KBIN (Mollusc type no. 469).
