I am an advanced amateur collector and I have specialized in the genera Fusinus and Granulifusus (Fasciolariidae) since many years. I have probably one of the largest scientific working collections of these genera in Europe. I am author of several articles on these genera and of several recently described taxa.
The Natural History Museum Berne (Switzerland) kindly supports my research in many ways (loan of type material, literature, photography, microscopy, etc.).
I am always interested in common to rare live collected Fasciolariidae with preserved animal (dried or preferably in alcohol) for radular studies. I am looking also for uncommon or rare specimens including fossils from all over the world.
If you are interested I could help you to determine your Fusinus/Granulifusus. You can send me the shells, or send your pictures by e-mail or snail mail.
Do you have Recent or fossil Fasciolariidae for trade or perhaps for sale? I have Cypraeidae, Olividae, Conidae, Personidae, Strombidae and some other stuff on my trade list (Recent, world-wide).
Please check also my want list. Thank you!
